Somewhere over the rainbow: A magpie.
August 20th, 2013 | SarahLove
It was her first professional photo session and Maggie was a true beauty. I adore that she was herself. Her disposition was sweetly shy yet, she looked into the camera with the perfect amount of inquisitiveness to let me know she is confident. Her Aunt Becky called her ‘Magpie’ throughout her photo shoot so, naturally I had to go home and research ‘What is a magpie and is it edible.’ You know, ala mode. To my surprise but not really too surprising, baby Maggie has striking eyes, intertwining the shades of a Taiwanese and Sri Lanka mag pies feathers. Don’t believe me? Go look.
I just compared your child to a bird. To clarify: I would never eat Mag pie ala mode. Peach pie? Any day. Before this gets any more awkward for us, let us continue.
Maggie is super stylish (ohmygoodness her bonnet!) and I could not get over how incredibly calm and classy she is. Everything she did was just so cute and I could just stare at her forever.
Mother and daughter.
Aunt Becky with Magpie.
Sweetest little snuggle.
Love her cute feet!
Her precious hands and lips! Such a lady!
Eight months and WALKING. CUTE!!!
She makes me want to have a picnic and roll in the grass.
I told you. The hat!
Hello little love.
With every photo shoots, there are firsts. Thank you Jen for your courage and humor.
Even after I had packed up my camera, we sat in the grass just admiring her. Then the sky lit up and I couldn’t resist taking a few more photographs. Mag pie at the end of a rainbow.
And just because I am sometimes curiously odd. I looked up Mag pies with rainbows and found this pretty image.
Thank you Becky and Jen for trusting me to document Maggie. She is such a delight!
